The Little Muddy Film Festival Seeks Submissions

As the smoke surrounding the Big Muddy Film Festival begins to clear, a smaller, more intimate festival rises to the forefront. The Little Muddy Film Festival, now in its fifth year, has become a unique opportunity for Southern Illinois University student filmmakers to share their work with peers.

The atmosphere surrounding Little Muddy is one of encouragement and support. Thanks to the expertise of the judges, students have a chance to receive feedback about their work, which can improve their future film endeavors.

Submissions for the 2007 Little Muddy Film Festival will be accepted in the Cinema Equipment Room (Communications Building Room 1108) starting Monday, March 19 and ending Friday, March 30. There is a $3 entry fee for each film submitted. The categories include: narrative, documentary, and experimental. Any student enrolled at SIUC can submit their work, however only DVD's can be accepted. A $50 prize will be given to the winners of each category, and the top three films in each category will be screened In April at the Longbranch Coffee House.
