john michaels award

John Michaels was a student organizer during Big Muddy's formative years, whose volunteer efforts for peace and justice organizations, human rights issues, and love of the natural world are honored with this award. Each year, a jury of Southern Illinois community members chooses a documentary film from among our submissions that best displays an intelligent and urgent message of social, political, or ecological significance.
